LAUNCH OF THE JOINT PROGRAMME ON SECURITY OF MAJOR SPORTING EVENTS AND PROMOTION OF SPORT TO PREVENT VIOLENT EXTREMISM

The ICSS and our programme partners, the United Nations Office of Counter-Terrorism (UNOCT), United Nations Interregional Crime Research Institute (UNICRI), the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC), in consultation with the UN Counter-Terrorism Committee Executive Directorate (CTED), launched the ‘Global Programme on Security of Major Sporting Events, and Promotion of Sport and Its Values as a Tool to Prevent Violent Extremism’ from the UN headquarters in February 2020.

ACTA and the ICSS organize the “Executive Program on Sport Integrity"

The Administrative Control and Transparency Authority, in cooperation with the International Center for Sports Security (ICSS), organized the “Executive Program for Integrity in Sports” during the period from 2 to 6 October 2022 in alSheraton Grand Doha Resort & Convention Hotel.

The opening of the program was witnessed by HE Salah bin Ghanem Al-Ali, Minister of Sports and Youth, HE Hamad Bin Nasser Al-Misnad, Chairman of the Administrative Control and Transparency Authority, and Mr. Massimiliano Montanari, CEO of the International Center for Sports Security (ICSS).
