Investigations and Intelligence Services

The ICSS Sport Integrity Unit (SIU) conducts sensitive and complex confidential investigations and intelligence- collection activities. The SIU has a focus on the identification of the criminal networks involved in the transnational manipulation of sport and interconnected crimes.

Led by an experienced team of international law enforcement experts and sport integrity investigators, the SIU offers confidential investigation services, specialised training and independent integrity advice to support governing bodies, law enforcement, athletes and organisations across the sports industry.

The SIU is committed to providing truly independent support and training to athletes, officials and organisations across the sports industry, as well as providing dedicated expertise in investigating allegations of misconduct and integrity violations across a range of areas adversely affecting sport.

These include, but are not limited to:

  • Administrative corruption and misconduct
  • Fraud, including match fixing, illegal betting and money laundering
  • Athlete welfare, including sexual harassment and abuse
  • Conflicts of Interest and breaches of ethics
  • Human trafficking and child protection issues in sport
  • Countering radicalisation in sport

The ICSS-SIU maintain a world leading intelligence and case management platform [CLUE], a key software system used by top international sporting and law enforcement organisations to manage cases, in line with the highest industry standards for handling of confidential information.
