Securing Sport is the thought-leading annual international conference, organised by the International Centre for Sport Security (ICSS).
Securing Sport 2014 brought together high-level leaders and international experts from sport, betting, government, international organisations, civil society, law enforcement and anti-corruption bodies to address crucial issues that threaten sport today.
Under the conference theme of ‘Sport under threat: The Game is Ours to Win’, high-level speakers debated a range of topics related to sport integrity and security including: organised crime, mega-event safety and security, match-fixing, governance and transparency, as well as child welfare issues in sport.
Securing Sport 2014 also further advanced recent developments in the fight against match-fixing, including UNESCO/MINEPS V Declaration of Berlin and the draft Council of Europe Convention on the Manipulation of Sports Competition.
Since its launch in 2011, Securing Sport has proven to be a huge international success and 2014 was no different.
