Preventing Violent Extremism through MAJOR SPORTING EVENTS – A Handbook for Organizers

The Handbook is the third major publication developed within the “Global Programme on the Security of Major Sporting Events and the Promotion of Sport and its Values as a Tool to Prevent Violent Extremism”, a joint initiative of UNOCT, UNAOC, UNICRI and the ICSS.

The 120-page publication is directed at assisting organizers and hosting nations on how to utilize major sporting events to implement PVE policies and on how to integrate communities and risks while planning and delivering major sporting events.
