Holder Speaks on Fantasy Sports at Securing Sport
Former U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder has suggested that fantasy sports needs to have some form over oversight or regulation.
Speaking at Securing Sport, the ICSS’s annual conference, Holder also gave insight into the beginnings of the investigation into the activities of FIFA.
“It’s not a function of us (United States) not getting the world cup. There is a legitimate basis for the actions that were taken. I am sure the investigation will be a thorough one, ” said Holder.
When asked if he thought that Fantasy Spots was gambling Holder responded by stating “I think there is a skill component. Gambling or not it’s a legitimate thing to say given the amount of money and the amount of people involved some sort of oversight or regulation is appropriate.”
