CUSTOMISED INTEGRITY HOTLINES
Upon request, SIU provides assistance to stakeholders, such as sport federations, leagues, clubs or sport governing bodies, in the construction and implementation of customised whistle-blowing hotlines, providing 24/7/365 monitoring with the provision of weekly case summaries and analysis of the reported cases.,
The SIU uses state-of-the-art CLUE case management platform, a key software system used by most relevant international sporting and law enforcement organisations to manage cases, in line with the highest industry standards and data protection legislation.
ADVANCED TRAINING AND CAPACITY BUILDING
The SIU provides capacity building activities and training to strengthen stakeholders’ abilities in the conduction of investigations and in raising awareness about threats that could jeopardise categories at risk. Such services can be provided both to law enforcement agencies, sports bodies and relevant sport professional categories, encompassing the following core areas:
INVESTIGATIVE SUPPORT
Upon official request from governments, law enforcement agencies and other authorised stakeholders, the SIU can deploy its experts to provide support in complex investigations, with a strategic focus on the identification of transnational organised criminal networks involved in the manipulation of international sport.
The SIU operates both a prevention-based and reactive investigative and analytical support capability against the current and emerging threats.
SPORT BETTING MONITORING
With the global sport betting appetite ever-increasing, the world of sport and athletes are attracting unwanted attention from organised crime groups, for the purposes of manipulating sport for illicit financial gain through sport betting fraud.
To combat this issue, he SIU can provide sport betting monitoring services, complemented by investigative, information and intelligence analysis and integrity alerts to safeguard sport, and to detect anomalies in the betting markets and the field of play.
