Match-ﬁxing. Pulling the strings of sport.
The second edition of the ICSS Journal addresses key areas that impact on securing sport such as fan behavior and best practices to address any issues, keeping live sport event sites safe (an extremely relevant issue in wake of the tragic attack against the Boston Marathon), and safety and security considerations in sport infrastructure design. The threat that match fixing and betting fraud pose not only to the integrity of sport itself, but also to national economic development is examined.
