ICSS experts join governance discussion at EU Sport Forum

As part of the ICSS’s commitment to serving sport and sharing its expertise in sport safety, security and integrity, representatives from ICSS EUROPE, including CEO Emanuel Macedo de Medeiros, attended a lively plenary workshop and panel debating the keynote topic of good governance in sport.

Of note, the session discussed a variety of current governance challenges and solutions available to sport, as well as other topics including the autonomy of sports movement, greater female representation in sport governance, greater accountability and diversity as well as independent oversight

ICSS meets with Commissioner for Education, Culture, Youth and Sport

Following the meeting, ICSS EUROPE CEO, Emanuel Macedo de Medeiros, met with Tibor Navracsis, Commissioner for Education, Culture, Youth and Sport to discuss matters of common concern.

In particular, the two discussed the need for reform in the sports industry with Commissioner Navracsis also praising and expressing the commitment that the European Commission will continue to participate and support the ongoing efforts of ICSS EUROPE to gather stakeholders from different sectors to work towards establishing a global sport integrity alliance.

The Commissioner has also confirmed his willingness to participate in the second edition of the FITS Forum, due to take place during the European Week of Sport (EWoS) of the current year.
