ICSS Partners with Al Kass Sports Channels

Media ReleasesAl Kass Sports Channels and the International Centre for Sport Security today signed a cooperation agreement to activate joint initiatives locally, regionally and globally.

Under the agreement, Al Kass Sports Channels will be a media partner of the ICSS and they will work together to Safeguard Sport and promote its values.

The partnership aims to enrich the community through promoting Save the Dream, an initiative, which was launched in 2012 in collaboration between the ICSS and Qatar Olympic Committee along with Ooredoo, technology partner.

Through Save the Dream, Al Kass Sports Channels and ICSS will endeavour to show how sport can be used as a tool to empower communities and promote integrity in sport globally.

The agreement was signed by Issa bin Abdulla Al Hitmi, General Manager, Al Kass Sports Channels and Mohammed Hanzab, Chairman of the ICSS, during half time of the opening match of the Al Kass International Cup 2017 between PSV Eindhoven and Raja Casablanca.

The agreement brings a formal partnership between the ICSS, which is highly regarded as working towards improving sports safety, security and integrity and Al Kass Sports Channels, a leader in the region that is contributing to raising the level of awareness and importance of sport as a key contributor to society.

Speaking at the signing Issa Al Hitmi said:

“We are delighted to have signed with the ICSS to be become a media partner of an organisation that has become the reference for sports integrity globally. Our relationship with ICSS is not new. We have been cooperating with ICSS since their inception and this agreement makes it formal. Our goal at Al Kass is not only to cover the highlights from different sports inside the stadiums, but also to seek to promote the culture of safe and fair sport.

“The ICSS has become an important organisation and their Save the Dream initiative gives us an additional opportunity for us to promote our own social responsibility initiatives.

“There are many aspects of the agreement that will allow us to work with the ICSS to help accomplish the objectives and mission of Al Kass and at the same time contribute to grow sports culture.

Speaking at the signing Mohammed Hanzab said:

“Signing this agreement was a natural evolution in the close relationship that we enjoy with Al Kass Sports Channels. I want to thank Issa al Hitmi and Al Kass Sports Channels for all of the support they have shown the ICSS right from the beginning and their commitment to spread the message of our work locally, regionally and globally.”
